The first move towards the formation of Malaysia came in 1961 when the idea for the formation of a wider federation comprising the Federation of Malaya, Singapore, Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei was mooted by Tunku Abdul Rahman.
On 16 September 1963, the formation of Malaysia which consisted of the Federation of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak and Singaore was formally promulgated.
Believe that we all know this since we learn from history subject at secondary school. But have u try to think How is the our life now in Sarawak right now ifSarawak did not join Malaysia in 1963?? Will economic in Sarawak better or worse? Sarawak is a state or country now?? If it is a state, it will join to which country? Indonesia? Or maybe still being colonized? Sarawak riches in natural resources like petroleum, will we richer and using low price petrol?
